New Beginnings for Merced County Animals is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping the animals at the Merced County Animal Shelter as well others located in Merced County. Our primary focus is helping to reduce the shelter’s euthanasia rate by networking with other rescue organizations for these animals and providing transportation for them to various rescue organizations. We also take animals with medical issues out of the shelter and arrange for veterinary care for them. We rely heavily on donations for everything we do for these animals. There are a variety of expenses that are incurred in saving these animals.  Veterinary bills and the cost of fuel needed for our transports are our biggest expenses.  All donations made are used directly to help the animals.
